Our Mission
To nurture and empower new parents by providing affordable access to essential baby products, inclusive learning opportunities, mental health wellness services, and a supportive community—ensuring every family can thrive, regardless of their background or income.
Our Community Initiatives
Lending Library
We provide access to essential baby items
- specifically baby carriers and swaddles - making it easier for families to access what they need without the financial burden of purchasing items that are used for only a short time. Parents get to explore different styles to learn their and baby's preference.
Gift Boxes
Our curated gift boxes are designed to help new parents with thoughtful essentials, providing comfort and joy during the early days of parenting. Not only are they lovely gifts, they are also practical solutions.

Wellness
We offer wellness services focusing on mental health support, helping parents navigate the challenges of new parenthood with confidence and care.
Audrey Smith, a Certified Perinatal Mental Health therapist, can provide needs assessments to new and expectant parents to identify any needs and connect them with providers or resources in our area.

Programs
Community programs are conducted to enhance knowledge and skills, encouraging an environment where parents can learn from one another. Our Team.
Grow Our Village was created by Audrey Smith, who has been a counselor in North Alabama for over a dozen years and has worked with the pregnant and postpartum population for over five years. She is certified as a perinatal mental health therapist.
The vision is brought to life by Mikayla White, who has a degree in New Media Communications. Mikayla uses her knowledge and incredible skills to market Grow Our Village, design our website, establish our brand image, and oversee our social media channels.
By fostering collaboration and sharing knowledge, we aim to create a nurturing environment that empowers individuals, strengthens community connections, and inspires growth and belonging for all participants.

Our Commitment
to Families
We are here to support first-time parents navigating uncertainty, parents of multiples seeking essential solutions and recent transplants looking for their village. We understand unique challenges faced by families with limited income, single parents and caregivers lacking traditional support systems. Our commitment to provide affirming care and resources for BIPOC LGBTQ+, and neurodivergent parents, ensuring everyone feels valued and supported on their parenting journey.
